Blueberry Mini Deluxe Pocket Nappy

For newborns and babies up to 15 lbs.  The Blueberry Mini Deluxe is made with a waterproof outer layer of PUL and an inner layer of microfleece, and comes with a 3-layer microterry insert.  The unique snap settings give you 3 different sizes and allows you to adjust the size for a newborn and babies up to 15 lbs.

Washing and Care:

Before using the nappy:  wash and dry your nappy once in hot or warm water prior to first use.  This causes the fibres to shrink, fluff up and become more absorbent.  It is not necessary to wash more than once before using the nappy for the first time.  The inserts will shrink and get thicker with the first few washes.  This shrinkage has been allowed for when designing the inserts.

General Wash & Care: Keep your wet and dirty nappies in a nappy bin or wetbag.  Remove inserts from the nappy and place the nappy and inserts in your nappy bin/bag after changing your baby.

Wash your nappies in hot or warm water on regular cycle.  Follow the recommended amount of detergent as stated on the soap's packaging based on your load size.  Too much will leave residue causing your nappies to possibly stink, leak, or leave baby with a rash.  Too little will not leave your nappies clean and cause it to stink and/or leave baby with a rash.  An additional rinse can be used for particularly soiled loads. Make sure that your nappies are rinsed clean.  Any residue from poop, urine, or detergent can make your nappies smell.  Tumble dry on any temperature or line dry.

Do not use fabric softener.  It will coat the nappies making them water repellent and reduce the absorbency of the nappy. Be aware that if you use dryer sheets in your dryer for other laundry this can coat your dryer and transfer to your nappies.

Do not use bleach.  This will cause the fabric's fibres to break down.  It will also cause the waterproof layer of the nappy to de-laminate. Do not use baking soda or vinegar in your wash. These are unnecessary and may cause problems in your nappies.

Do not stretch the nappt while it is still warm.  Allowing the nappy to cool after taking it out of the dryer will extend the life of its elastic.

Do not use nappy rash creams without using a protective liner between your baby's skin and the nappy.  Creams will leave a waxy residue on the fabric making them less absorbent, water repellent and may potentially cause leaks.  If you need to use a rash cream, you should use a stay-dry liner or a piece of fleece between your baby's bottom and the nappy to prevent the cream from transferring onto the nappies.

Stain removal.
If staining occurs, it is important that any products used on the nappies and covers to remove the stains are mild so as not to irritate the baby’s skin and/or cause the nappies to prematurely deteriorate.  In most cases, laying the stained nappies out in the sun is the safest and most effective way of removing stains.
